![]() Whether or not this is causing the issue I don't know but it will not let me delete these files. When I tried to delete them it told me I needed permission from TrustedInstaller. Here I found the dll files for MSXML 3 and 6, but not 4. One solution I found told me to delete the dll for MSXML 4 from the system32 folder. Also tried doing a sfc scan, did not find any errors or corrupt files. These include: booting clean state and trying to install, removing any existing MSXML entries, trying to manually install KB updates (which I can't). I have tried every single solution/workaround that I can possibly find on the internet, all to no avail. I downloaded MSXML 4.0 service pack 2 from the microsoft download center, got to the installing part, and received the error: An error occurred during the installation of assembly component. I am trying to re-install Flight simulator X on my computer, but it threw up an error that upon googling, told me I needed to install MSXML 4.0 on my computer which I tried to do.
